I’m Abby!.
I'm a certified & published fashion stylist located in Silicon Valley with speciality in personal styling, color analysis and runway, commercial, and editorial styling.

It’s been a busy last few weeks here at Abby Young Styling, to say the least! In October we celebrated a number of different special events. First, we hosted our second-ever Color Analysis Event with makeup artist Monina of Moderne Beauty and hair stylist Velia of Velia Beauty Co., which was a huge success! To give you an idea of how it went, one of our 3-Part Color Analysis clients came back to tell us that “I don’t think I’ve ever said “woah” that many times in one day ever!” Second, Abby had the honor of MCing the Elizée X Madison / Savile Fashion Show, which drew an engaged audience of magazine editors, influencers, and investors from across the Bay Area. Last but not least, Abby Young Styling went international! Abby traveled to Mexico City to provide event styling for a client attending the Las Vegas Grand Prix, and had the chance to do a bit of sightseeing. Read on to learn more about our trip to CDMX!

Business first: our client needed fourteen looks for her four days in Las Vegas. (Yes, about 3-4 looks per day!) We had a blast shopping from the best brands and preparing the clothes for her in-person fitting. Keeping the Formula 1 theme in mind, we brought items from Ferrari, Red Bull archives, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Emilio Pucci’s newest checkered designs among many other brands.

On our day off, we visited Casa Azul, legendary Mexican painters Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera’s former home-turned museum. The final exhibit showcased a collection of Kahlo’s own dresses, corsets, and prosthetic attachments. The exhibit highlighted her multidimensional outlook on styling as a means of functionality, concealment of her “less than perfect body”, and as another canvas to express her national pride.

Her resilience, dedication to her craft, and personal style has inspired countless artists and fashion designers over the years. The exhibit houses a few runway pieces by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy, Commes des Garçons, and Jean Paul Gaultier.

Are you planning a special event like a birthday, wedding, or gala? Let’s take it to the next level with wardrobe styling! Book a complimentary phone consultation with me here to learn more about our event styling services. Until next time: ¡Viva México! ¡Vamos, Red Bull!
