“What shoes do I wear with what jeans?” is one of the most popular questions we get from our clients during their post-fitting Styling Sessions. If you’ve ever felt stumped when deciding what shoes to wear with your jeans, then this article was made for you! Read on for some of our top shoe recommendations for four different styles of jeans.
Skinny Jeans
For skinny jeans, we recommend wearing calf or knee high boots, ballet flats, or loafers. Some other options include platform sneakers, pointed toe pumps, lug-sole Chelsea boots, and a pair of chic rain boots. Any mid-rise shoe style risks shortening the appearance of your legs, so opt for either tall or low boat-shoe height.
Straight-Leg Jeans
Narrower straight-leg jeans are coming back into the spotlight, and we’re here to make sure you’re ready to rock the trend. Try pairing them with a chunkier shoe to continue the more structured look, with a pair of heeled ankle boots, platform sneakers, mules, Chelsea boots, pointed toe pumps, or loafers.
Mom/Dad Jeans
For mom or dad jeans, we love wearing a pair of slides, sneakers, or pointed toe pumps to elevate your look. Some other options include mules, heeled sandals, loafers, and Chelsea boots.
Wide-Leg Jeans
Wide-leg jeans have been all the rage for the last few years, and they’re here to stay. Try wearing a pair of sling-backs, clogs, Chelsea boots, platform sneakers, wedges, pointed toe heels, or heeled ankle boots to add some height and dimension.
Flared Jeans
Similar to wide-leg jeans, flared jeans have a way of shortening the appearance of your height. We recommend wearing them with a pair of wedge heels, platform loafers, or pointed toe ankle boots to make sure you don’t disappear into them. Other good ideas include clogs and pointed toe pumps.
